柘溪水电站是湖南省最早建成的大（1）型水电站，位于资水干流中游，以发电为主，兼有防洪、航运、养鱼等综合效益。水库总库容35.7亿m3，砼单支墩大头坝，坝高104m，电站装机容量447.5MW。1958年开工，1975年建成。

Zhexi Hydropower Station

Zhexi Hydropower Station, which is the earliest large-scale (Grade I) power station in Hunan Province, is located in the middle reach of the main stream of Zijiang River. It possesses comprehensive utilization benefits mainly for power generation, incorporated with flood control, navigation and fish-farming. The total reservoir capacity is 3.57 billion m3 with installed capacity of 447.5MW. There is a bulk head concrete dam with single-wall buttress and with dam height of 104m. The project, which was commenced in 1958 and completed in 1975, is explored and designed by Hunan Hydro & Power Design Institute.
