铜湾水电站位于湖南省中方县境内沅水干流中游，是一个以发电为主，兼顾航运等综合利用的中型水电工程。2005年开工，2008年建成。水库总库容2.11亿m3。船闸设计通过能力为166×104t/a。砼闸坝，坝高43m。低水头径流式电站，河床式厂房，装机容量180MW（4×45MW）。灯泡贯流式水轮发电机组，水轮机转轮直径7.1m，最大水头14.0m，额定水头11.2m，最小水头6.7m。

Tongwan hydropower station is located in the middle reaches of Yuanshui River in Zhongfang country of Hunan Province. This is a medium-sized comprehensive utilization hydropower project mainly for power generation, compatible with navigation etc. Construction of the Project started in 2005 and accomplished in 2008. Total storage capacity of reservoir is 211 million m3. The designed annual navigable capacity is 166×104t/a. It adopts with concrete gate dam, dam height is 43m. Low head runoff power station, powerhouse in river channel, installed capacity is 180MW（4×45MW）. It adopts bulb type tubular turbine generator unit, with maximum water head of 14.0m, rated head of 11.2m, minimum water head of 6.7m, and runner diameter of 7.1m.
