大洑潭水电站位于湖南省辰溪县境内沅水干流中游，是一个以发电为主，兼顾航运等综合利用的中型水电工程。2004年开工，2008年建成。水库总库容2.51亿m3。船闸设计通过能力为200万t/a。砼闸坝，坝高27m。低水头径流式电站，河床式厂房，装机容量200MW（5×40MW）。灯泡贯流式水轮发电机组，最大水头15.1m，额定水头11.2m，最小水头5.0m，水轮机转轮直径6.7m。

Dafutan Hydropower Station 

Dafutan Hydropower Station locates in Chenxi County at the middle reach of main stream of Yuanshui River in Hunan Provice. It is a medium-sized hydropower project mainly for power generation, incorporated with navigation. Construction of the Project started in 2004 and accomplished in 2008. Its reservoir has the total storage capacity of 251 million m3. The shiplock has the design traffic capacity of 2 million t/a. It has a concrete gravity dam with the height of 27m. The Project has a power house in river channel and a low-head runoff station. The installed capacity is 200MW (5×40MW). The bulb type tubular turbine-generator unit has maximum water head of 15.1m, rated water head of 11.2m, minimum water head of 5.0m. The runner diameter is 6.7m.
