白云水电站位于湖南省城步苗族自治县境内沅水一级支流巫水上游，属多年调节的“龙头水库”电站，是一个以发电为主，兼有防洪、灌溉等综合效益的中型水电工程。1992年开工，1999年建成。水库总库容3.6亿m3。砼面板堆石坝，坝高120m。坝后引水式电站，装机容量54MW（3×18MW）。

The project is located in the upper reach of Wushui River, which is the first grade tributary of Yuanshui River in Chengbu Miao Autonomous County of Hunan Province. The plant is an uppermost reservoir for overyear regulation. It is a medium scale hydro-project possessing comprehensive utilization benefits mainly for power generation, incorporated with flood control and irrigation. Construction of the Project started in 1992 and accomplished in 1999. The total reservoir capacity is 360 million m3 with dam (concrete-faced rock-fill darn) height of 120m. The plant is dam toe diversion plant with installed capacity of 54MW(3×18MW).
